Dee Dee Trotter is a legend in the track and field arena. She has been a member of 2 gold medal winning teams including Olympic Gold in London in 2012 and has been an integral part of the enormous success the United States 1600 meter relay teams in the last 8 years.
Trotter who was a multiple state champion and finished on the all time top ten list for the state of Georgia in both the 100M and 200 meters. Trotter attended the University of Tennessee and in 2004 became an NCAA champion at 400 meters. In 2007, Dee Dee secured her first US title at Indoor championships and won the US Championships by running her personal best 49.64.
In 2012 she fulfilled her childhood dreams of winning her first Olympic medals, securing an individual bronze medal victory in the women’s 400 meters and gold in the 1600 meter relay.
Dee Dee is also well known in the track community for her engaging personality, intelligence and desire to make a difference. She is founder of the Non-profit organization “Test Me I’m Clean”, a non-profit initiative that discourages the use of performance enhancing drugs in all sports.
